Always needing that listening ear
seeking advice from wise sources
it's much harder these days to find these
Life is in such a constant rush
especially in the Big City
No time for questions
no time for answers
only the simplicity of being
existing for the sake of loved ones that rely upon them
A helper lies just within reach for us all
it may not be in your direct path of life
but then,
life is more like a series of detours
than the straight desolate roads of I-10.
We all get lost at some time
preying on unfamiliar territory
to eventually see before us that haven called home.
And all the helpers along the way? We certainly cannot forget. .
wisdom acquired cannot be repayed
only passed on to the unknowledgable and ignorant
which should not be so hard
considering that
as long as we are alive
forever will we play the roles of teacher and student
unconsciously and unwillingly
answering and asking
questions of the soul.
